Swift Background
Swift Sports Organisation ( SSO) started in a very humble way with 4 single mothers who caught the vision which was introduced by a coach.
The young single mothers were under depression,stress,fears, lonely due to different circumstances like poverty,many responsibilities without support or any future guarantee of a better life.
It all commenced by gathering every evening to do physical fitness and netball training. Vision stirred , excited women to the future hope.
Women who 4 for just eventually grew to 80 members within a year.
Later Swift superladies netball club reproduced other clubs within due age groups ( Swift kids club,Swift superladies netball club,Swift Teenz club and Swift mixed club)
In 2022 we recognized that it's important to become a community based organization as way to reach out one voice to the world and also find solutions to common challenges and community problems as far as single mothers,women in general, disadvantaged girls,children are concerned.
We are registered as community based organization with a vision to also contribute to fight poverty in the community through a sports talent ( netball, football and rugby) as for start and also hoping to set up swift recreation center for practical skilling.

Achievements:
1.We are registered as a CBO in Wakiso district, Nansana municipality in Uganda.
Registration Name & No: swift sports organisation NMC/CBO/1766/25.
We have been in operation of fighting poverty through sports. Through our mission we brought hope unto single mothers to become professional netballers,some got jobs through talent exposure.
We have discovered and developed hundreds of children's talents in Wakiso district.
Challenges:
We are lacking equipment and resources.We don't have our own netball court or play ground for all our sports programs and recreation project. We have many single mothers who cant afford to take children to school so we thought of a project to empower them but still inactive thought.
Short Term Goals.
1.Implementing quarter programs.
2. Registering swift superladies netball club into local division league.
3.We administration sustaining piggery project.To sustain all our clubs activities plus coaches allowances.
Long Term Goal.
1.Setting up a swift Recreation Center for practical skilling.This is to empower many single mothers and school dropouts due to different circumstances to achieve physical professional skilling.

We do love to empower single mothers ,sports it's one of the mechanism to build their capacity and destroys the low inner self-esteem.
Our Journey
Our journey; we were founded by male coach who came with a vision to empower women through sports in community.
It started by a small whispering mobilization to some few that....there's a coach who has come to our village to coach women in netball.
I and 3 friends met him at some village joint; Kiteezi some sunday evening. The coach said " I have a vision to empower women in this village and other communities but can't do it alone."
We bought his idea,looked for a school play ground...applied for permission to use and administration allowed us 3 days in week only evenings which we accepted.
We started our trainings,that in April 2019. We started 4 and went on growing in numbers everyday until COVID 19 lock down destructed everything.
However we resumed in August 2021 after loosing 70% of our members.
After COVID 19 lock down we got a meeting and resolution was to establish a sports organization to fight poverty through the talents like netball,football and rugby among single mothers,youth, children and young mothers.
Today we are registered CBO in Nansana municipality, Wakiso district,Uganda East Africa.

We are family of different talents.
Swift teens club bring together girls and boys with passion to play football, netball and rugby in our community.
These are young girls and boys between 12 and 19 who need to be nurtured well for a brighter future.
